The Spruce Goose in Lyall Bay is truly a special place. PanaScope takes a break for Breakfast with VR Expert Roddy O’Hara. The Spruce started life at Wellington airport as the original NAC domestic terminal and then became the home of the Wellington Aero Club for over 50 years. You could say the original Spruce Goose was a flight of fancy, a big, bold idea but probably not the most practical. But what we really love about our namesake is the fearless spirit, the attitude that we do things because we can. And so the Spruce Goose was born – a place where you sit back, relax and dream big with great food and a fine beverage in hand.
